Harmonia Integrative Psychiatry
A big picture approach to health and healing
What is Integrative Psychiatry?
Integrative psychiatry is an individualized, patient-centered approach to treatment that focuses on balancing the body’s systems by identifying and treating the underlying causes of illness and disease to promote long lasting, sustainable healing. The root causes of mental illness are unique to each person, and are often a combination of genetic, biochemical, nutritional, hormonal, psychosocial and environmental factors.
An integrative treatment approach recognizes the multifactorial nature of mental health, and combines conventional medical care with evidence-based complementary therapies, lifestyle guidance and laboratory testing. With this approach, complimentary treatments do not replace standard medical treatment options, but offer a broader and more personalized approach to care.
